So... There is a baby in my belly

16 weeks
For 16 weeks I have been growing a baby in my belly.
It is due at the end of August.
We are not going to find out if it is a little boy or girl.
We want to be surprised.
We are excited.
Especially now that I feel like me again.
These last few months have physically been the hardest of my life.
So sick, so sleepy, so.... Lets just say I was like an angry bear who kept trying to hibernate and kept getting woken up by two little squirrels.

After Brooke was born I promised myself that when we had another one. I would be better about taking pictures and documenting my next pregnancy.
And then I remembered why I was so bad about it with the other two.
I think there have been less than five times, when I even put on makeup!
BUT!
Thing are better now.
I got a hair cut, I remembered where the gym was, and I can stay up past 9 o'clock, sometimes.
It's going to be okay.

A few things about my pregnancy.

I found out in a Target bathroom because I couldn't wait and had to pee.
Zofran helps but I was still very sick.
I crave orange juice, steak, and potatoes,
Chocolate gives me heart burn but I eat it anyway.
For a long time water tasted bad, but it is good again, but only cold.
I think this one has been harder because I am mom to two other little ones.
At first we told Jocelyn it was a fish swimming around in my belly, in case something
happened.
Jocelyn is so excited and has named the baby after everyone in her class, but only after Phinneas and Ferb were vetoed.
I haven't taken pictures in so long and I miss it.
I miss doing lots of fun stuff.
But I am determined to do fun things again, watch out Easter!
My hormones are terrifying, especially to me.
Everything makes me cry, EVERYTHING.
My husband rocks.
I am so ready for spring and pink cherry blossoms.
I re-read the Hunger Games and the "good parts" of Twilight because it was there.
And it was awesome.
Brooke is naked 92% of the time, we are potty training, but mostly she is just way faster than me.
Way faster.
I go back and forth between thinking this is a brilliant idea, and the craziest idea we have ever had.
I sort of want to have Peter Pan inspired nursery, but the girls walls are still bare.
For reals, my boobs are awesome.
I think we may have a third gymnast on our hands.
If it's a Girl I have no idea what to name her, like no idea.
If it's a Boy, we have a middle name and then have no idea.
If it's a Girl, we will be a house a pink and purple and ponies and spa dates.
If it's a boy Ben can go to the Father and Son camp-out and make marshmallow guns.
If it's a Girl we will be making marshmallow guns anyway.
In fact I am kinda shocked we don't have any now.
I think my ward thinks I am inactive.
I don't think I should be aloud to drive or operate heavy machinery.
I am so excited to snuggle this baby on the outside.
Our little family is ready for a new friend.

Kiki's Wedding

If you want to see a few pictures from my sisters beautiful wedding this summer you can check out this link here. My camera had been confiscated, so sadly I have none of my own that day.
Which is a bummer because it was beautiful.

This week

2012-01-13 12.43.15

Has been a very very very very long week.
In fact I will just say it,
This week sucked!
I have dealt with the following:
vomit
poop in the car
Jocelyn trapping herself in said car... twice.
A car accident
Back pain from said accent.
Bath tub over flowing
Water leaking from the ceiling
Insurance companies, insurance companies, insurance companies,
doctors appointments,
laundry? whats laundry? oh it's that stuff taking over my house.
Stuffy noses, runny noses, coughs
Jello
Yes, Jello.
Dogs waking up children,
Children refusing to back to sleep after waking up.
Leap Frog, lots of Leap Frog.

I will say this.
I love my husband, I love my children, I love my house, I am grateful for so much,
But I am ready to be done with this week.

Remember when I blogged?

No?
.
Me neither...
.
.
Maybe I should do something about it?
.
.
It's worth taking into consideration.

Today she said this...

Tonight Jocelyn and I had the following conversation
J: I want you to draw a picture of Phineas, his head is a triangle"
R: "Okay"
(drawing a picture of Phineas)
J: "No just his head... now draw me. My head is like an oval... Yes Yes!...(blushing)Now draw me kissing Phineas"
.
(I look at her confused)
.
R: "What?"
J:(bolder with slight annoyance at having to repeat herself)
"I want you to draw me kissing Phineas".
R: (still shocked) "Why do you want me to draw you kissing Phineas?"
J: "Because I love him soooooo much".

Should I be worried?

Happy New Year!

So I feel like I should tell you that I have been sitting on this post for almost three weeks but I haven't posted because I was waiting for other pictures. Now I am just going to show you how awesome or New Years Eve was.

New Years Eve was Rockin!

We decided to have a little party with two of our closest family friends.
With all the kids, and no sitters.
Ben and I took down all the Christmas decorations and decorated the room in black, white, gold and silver.

My stylish and beautiful ladies.
Aren't they beautiful?

Christmas 2011

I'm on a roll :)
This was the most
Chill,
easy,
relaxing
Christmas of my adult life.
It was lovely.
Mama and Papa Hansen came out.
We love them.
Unfortunately they BOTH got sick on different days with different things.
But that didn't stop us from
Seeing 3 movies. (Footloose is awesome by the way)
Going out for Pizza.
Playing at the park.
Having a lovely and musical Church service.
Eating feast after feast.
Watching, Christmas Vacation, Just Friends and a Christmas Story.
Did I mention Korean food?
Wearing our new matching Griswold Family Christmas shirts.
Reading LOTS of books,
and having a wonderful Christmas morning full of love and laughter, and Jocelyn screaming "This is what I always wanted!" after every present.
Except when she got a sweatshirt. "Ahhh, I didn't want clothes."

Launching a rocket,
Caroling around the neighborhood and bringing fudge to the neighbors.
(Jocelyn refused to sing the same song over and over again and would sit on the step with her arms folded, Brooke however LOVED it and handed everyone the treat)
Playing with toy helecopters,
and just having a really lovely time together.
Thanks Mom and Dad Hansen.
We love you!

Thanksgiving

was last month.
But if I don't post about it now it will be last year.
It was wonderful.
My dad came out. We had way big fun.
The girls love him.

We played in the snow
ate yummy waffles
watched of Phinneas and Ferb.

Dinner was awesome.
Our favorite Oregon families came over.
We had 7 adults and 6 kids.
Everything was AMAZING!
(However the turkey was slightly undercooked my bad)
But it was still good and no one got sick. :)

We hung out and talked and ate pie... lots of pie.

Today she said this...

Today I asked Jocelyn what she wants to be when she grow up?
"Uh... a farmer and a mother."
"Those sound like wonderful things! Why do you want to be a farmer?"
"Because you get to feed the animals and grow the garden"
"Why do you want to be a mother?"
" Uh...uh... Because you get to go to the park by yourself."
*laugh*
"Anything else?"
"You get to decorate your own Christmas tree with no glass ornaments, and you get to go to the movies by yourself."
"Yup, that about sums it up."

Merry Christmas 2011!

This year has been amazing and we have loved so many minutes of it. New wonderful house, new wonderful preschool, new wonderful friends and a wonderful new dog. There have been a lot of changes but I feel like we are really beginning to come into our own here in Eugene. I think we are all doing amazing and I am gratefully daily for my Heavenly Father and the blessing we have been given. These last few weeks have been crazy! So I apologize if you weren't one of the 12 people that got our fancy Christmas card ornaments. Apparently there is a bigger learning curb on my Silhouette Machine then I thought :) and in the middle of the night after ruining yet another page, I broke down and ordered this one from Costco.
Which is a picture I love!.. you just can't see our faces:)
If you got this picture we love you and we just thought you were super cool and would get our edgy artistic style.

Merry Christmas!
Ben, Rileigh, Jocelyn, Brooke and Strider
