Ooh, I like this game. Since you're on the east coast, you've got a lot more possibilities. Hmmm, considering your requirements of 1 week and romantic, my vote would be somewhere in the carribean- less jet lag, more time in the water. You won't really feel like you MUST sight see, because people just go there to snorkel and drink cold beverages. aah.
I vote for the Bahamas. Ryan and I have taken 2 cruises without kids for a week each and they have been the BEST thing we have ever done. All the yummy food you can eat, and beautiful places to see or even just lay in the sun on the boat and read, etc. I also like the fact that it's harder to contact the kiddos so we're not tempted to call and check in on them periodically. Good luck on choosing somewhere.
Both places sound great... Dan and I have wanted to go to Italy for a while now. We've already been to Paris and northern England. Both were thoroughly enjoyable.

I think a Greek Island would be amazing too. I love the emerald bay idea though.
If I could get away for an entire week with Jack and no kids, I would be happy at a Motel 6 in Barstow. Anything else would be a MAJOR bonus!
I am looking for a slightly better view than of a giant thermometer. Ya know if you came to Impaq we would watch your kids for a week.

Any of these places have my vote, but secretly Santorini wins because it was where I wanted to go on my honeymoon if we had had enough dough...DO IT!
Ah. Bahamas. I don't think you can make a bad choice here though.
