I used to think those same sorts of things...and now I've got a dude who has dressed himself since he was 2 and only wears "sports" clothes and layers them up like a color-blind crazy person. :)
I have always dressed my boy that way. I love it.
Dressing my girl is not what I expected though. Hopefully I'll get better at it.
